Electro Active Membrane Technology selected for the XPRIZE Water Scarcity Competition

Active Membranes has been selected as a qualified team for both Track A and Track B in the $119 million XPRIZE Water Scarcity competition.Out of 674 pre-registered teams from 86 countries, only 143 qualified to advance to the next round. This selection acknowledges the potential of our electro active membrane technology to make desalination more efficient, scalable, and sustainable.


The XPRIZE Water Scarcity competition is designed to accelerate breakthrough solutions that expand access to affordable and sustainable clean water. Recognition in both tracks reflects the versatility and performance of our technology across different salinity ranges, from brackish to seawater desalination.
